Revised Budapest Protocol

The Decision of the Board of Supervisors no. 18-321 on collaboration of the competent authorities of the Member States of the European Economic Area (EEA) with regard to Directive (EU) 2016/2341 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2016 on the activities and supervision of institutions for occupational retirement provision (IORPs) (so called Revised Budapest Protocol) has the aim of fostering supervisory convergence and identifying good practices for efficient cross-border transfers between IORPs and for the cross-border activities of IORPs, while offering adequate protection for members and beneficiaries, under the IORP 2 Directive. It also aims to ensure efficient cooperation and exchange of information on cross-border issues relating to fit and proper requirements and on matters relating to outsourcing.
